Officers of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), unit of the Lagos state police command have found two underage siblings said to have been abandoned on the popular 3rd mainland by their biological mother.
Preliminary checks as gathered by this medium has indicated that, the two kids, namely, Chigozie Okwonko and Bright Okonkwo are aged 10 and 9 respectively.
Further checks, also show that, commander of the unit, CSP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi, has directed the immediate hand over of the kids to the Adekunle Police divisional headquarters for further actions as appropriate.
It will be recalled that, the Lagos state commissioner of police, CP Idowu Owohunwa has recently, reassured Lagosians of enhanced safety and security for lives and property during his official visit to the RRS headquarters in Alausa, where he described the squad as indispensably instrumental to security and safety wellness across Lagos state; he had further described CSP Egbeyemi, as a brilliant steward, enjoining the squad to redouble their efforts in the line of duty to keep Lagos safer and more secure.
