Honourable James Abiodun Faleke has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the House of Representatives in Ikeja Federal Constituency, reports thegazellenews.com.
Faleke, Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, emerged winner at the primary election conducted on Friday, 27 May, 2022 at the Oluwaleyimu Sports Centre, Ikeja.
At the end of the election, Faleke cleared all the 47 delegates votes cast out of the 50 delegates accredited for the exercise.
The Chairman of the Primary Election Committee for the Constituency, Comrade Ewuoso Oladunjoye declared Faleke winner and duly handed over the signed election result to him.
Speaking after the exercise, Faleke thanked party members for the confidence they have in him.
“This is morale boosting and a vote of confidence on us. It is an acceptance and approval of what we have been doing and we will not relent. This is surely a call and mandate to serve and we will serve the people of this constituency to the best of our ability.
“I thank you all for this great honour and I assure you that by the special grace of Almighty God, I will not let you, I see this victory not as a right but a privilege to continue to serve you. Thank you all,” Faleke said with voice full of appreciative emotion.
