All the speakers and attendees were unanimous in their conviction that, bothe Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu are capable to hold the positions they are gunning for describing them as round pegs in round holes.
In his contribution at the event, the CDG President Comrade Razaq Olokoba called the attention of the august audience to the political dexterity of Asiwaju tinubu since the time of the war against the military tthat led to the democritization of the polity in Nigeria till the time he became the governor of Lagos State in 1999 till now that he is the leader of the ruling APC at the centre.
According to the vocal political commentator and public analyst, the administrative acume of Tinubu is second to none amoung other contestants for the president in the country today, saying, “without mincing words, Tinubu is the most qualified to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari so that his (Buhari’s) good work can be continued by another capable hand.”
Concluding on Tinubu, Olokoba said it is instructive to note that, Tinubu as President would have people who would serve as check and balance for him in an event that he appears to need help in governance assuring that, “we are here to put him back on the right track if we suspect he seems committing errors.”
Tinubu, Olokoba asserted is like proverbial needle with thread that can hardly get lost, reminding that, in Yoruba land, there are always elders that always put their children right by inviting them home to give them proper direction for the good of the people.
On Sanwo-Olu, Olokoba expressed the delights that, it is an open fact that both the people of Lagos State and her residents both at home and beyond are well aware of his performance and outstanding achievement in office since 2019 that gave him the endorsement for a second term in office, assuring that, Sanwo-Olu, who has not disappointed us so far will not disappoint us in his second term in office.”
Speaking in the same vein, Director General, Team Lagos, Comrade Anthony Olayinka Adeboye, reminded that, Tinubu’s Midas touch is never in doubt expressing the conviction that, “none of us present here today is not aware of his activities that brought the country back to the path of democracy like other civilised country of the world.”
The DG also said that Tinubu’s political and economic acumen was put into play as the Governor of Lagos State, saying the way he handled the state when allocations due to it from the Centre in Abuja were withheld by the Federal Government under the then President Olusegun Obasanjo.
“So, if he is allowed to be President next year, Nigeria will be better for it,” the DG assured expressing the need for all and sundry to go round spreading the good gospel of Asiwaju Tinubu beyond the state to every nook and crany of the country to canvass for support and votes that will bring in Tinubu as the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
On Sanwo-Olu, Adeboye echoed Olokoba’s belief that, the governor’s second term in office appears a forgone conclusion, noting that, “going by his performance and achievement, the coming election will simply be a mere formality.”
After Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle’s votes of thanks that rounded up the occasion, the sing songs on the lips of the attendees were an indication that, the message of hope preached by all the speakers on Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu were well assimilated.
