Young Progressives Party’s 35-Year-old candidate, Ademola Adeseye, will slug it out with the incumbent governor Adegboyega Oyetola, 67, and 13 others in the July 16 Osun State governorship election.
The medical doctor is the youngest candidate in the poll, while Oyetola is the oldest.
Peoples Redemption Party is fielding the second youngest candidate in 38-year-old engineer, Ayowole Adedeji.
Allied Peoples Movement is also fielding 38-year-old Awoyemi Lukuman as candidate at the poll.
The YPP flag bearer is going into the election with a 60-year-old woman, Stella Adeagbo, as his running mate.
Mukaila Adesoye, 66, who is the running mate to 58-year-old Oyegoke Omigbodun of the Social Democratic Party, is the oldest deputy governorship candidate.
Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate Ademola Adeleke, is 61 years, while his running mate, Adegboyega Adewusi, is 62.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s chart, 15 parties will field candidates in the poll.
None of the parties has a woman as the candidate, but six of them have women as running mates to male candidates.
No party is also fielding a candidate living with disabilities.
