Former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has advised the Peoples Democratic Party to go for a consensus presidential candidate.
Saraki while speaking with journalists after a meeting with the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, at his country home in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa, said that the arrangement would be in the best interest of Nigeria in the present circumstance.
He said the PDP needed to get things right before the presidential primary, adding, “If the PDP wins, we all win because we all are one.”
He said picking a consensus candidate for the 2023 presidential poll would put PDP in a vantage position to win the election.
