All Progressives Congress chairman of Atakumosa East Local Council Development Authority, Gbenga Ogbara, has been assassinated by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Ogbara was allegedly attacked in his home in Igangan in the early hours of Monday by some assailants, who shot him dead and injured his wife and one other person said to be a child of the deceased.
The Media Adviser to Osun APC state Chairman, Kola Olabisi, confirmed the ugly incident, saying the party had been thrown into mourning.
According to Osun police Command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, the deceased was killed in his house by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
“He was killed in his home in the early hours of Monday. More details will be provided later but we have immediately commenced work to unravel the mystery behind the incident.”
