A Senior Developer at Amazon Web Services in Subsahara Africa, Veliswa Boya has charged Nigerian Youth to tap into the various opportunities in Cloud Computing.
This was said at a meetup organized by AWS Nigeria User Group at Alimosho Local Government. Veliswa said AWS is ready to partner with organizations in Nigeria to train youths in using AWS in particular and cloud computing in general in order to cob unemployment and promote the next generation.
Her statement was corroborated by Ewere Diagboya, the first AWS Hero in Africa who further discussed several opportunities waiting for Nigerians in the cloud industry. He therefore encourages the youth to have a structured learning path and take advantage of AWS.
In his speech, AbdulMatin Sanni, a DevOps Engineer xtrayed the pathways to become certified in Amazon Web Service explaining the different area of cloud computing and what they represent.
In his closing remark, Wale Adeniji, another DevOps Engineer representing AWS Nigeria User Group added that taking very seriously all that was said is key. Because in truth, the opportunities are just laying their for the youth to tap.
The event tagged “Pathways to Cloud Computing” was put together by Ayinde Jamiu with supports from DataMellon- a cloud solution company, Ustacky- an edtech company, MUSDEV and Alimosho Local Government with contribution by National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Alimosho Local Branch.
