Two independent pro-Yahaya Bello for president organisations, All-Nigerians United for Yahaya Bello Organization (ANYABO), and the Southwest Democratic Alliance (SODA), have congratulated Nigerians fon the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan fast and the peaceful Eid-Fitri despite serious security concerns before the yuletide.

In a joint Press Release by the two organisations, they stated, among other things that, “It calls for joy that the Sallah celebrations went without incidents despite the heavy loads of worries by Nigerians that the security of the country might be breached during the Sallah, but we thank God Almighty for protecting us all and we salute the Federal Government for taking proactive security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe Sallah for all Nigerians”.

The press statement which was jointly signed by the chairman of ANYABO, Malam Saidu Bobboi, its national Coordinator, Mike Adetayo, SODA’s head of operations, Siji Omoniyi, the organisations further stated that “It is pertinent to congratulate all Nigerians that our beloved country did not witness any violence during the Sallah celebrations despite pessimistic fears to the contrary. It is a sign that eventually we shall overcome our security and other challenges in due course. We felicitate with all Muslims and non-Muslims alike because we are one people under God. We pray for peace in our country and for God to guide our leaders on the right path to govern with wisdom and tact.

“Despite our humongous challenges Nigeria remains a great country with greater potentials than any other country in Africa.

“It takes leadership capacity, creativity and sagacity to harness Nigeria’s multiple potentials for the greater good of the greater numbers. Those capacity, creativity and sagacity combined with youthful energy and enviable leadership credentials with unparalleled visionary excellence of His Excellency, Governor (Prof) Yahaya Bello plus his demonstrable ability to unite all Nigerians, are what stand him taller than any other interested aspirant for Nigeria’s Presidency in 2023.

“It is on this basis that we, once again, solicit the support of all Nigerians to vote for Yahaya Bello in 2023 as Nigeria’s president. This young man holds the key to Nigeria’s unity, peace, development and industrial revolution. In order for Nigeria to live up to its designation as the giant of Africa, we need Governor Yahaya Bello’s Midas touch of excellent and scientific leadership that drives the modern state and he has demonstrated that as governor in his state for all to see.

“As Nigerians look forward to 2023 with hope for a better future, let us collectively see Governor Yahaya Bello as the sent one to liberate Nigeria and Nigerians from underdevelopment, disunity, insecurity and confusion. His capacity is unimpeachable, his performance records are impeccable, his national outlook in terms of ethno-religious tolerance is enviable, his youthful energy is indubitable, his scientific leadership credentials are unassailable. Yahaya Bello, the defining character for Nigeria’s greatness,” the groups declared.

The two organisations have been in the forefront of grassroots and intra-APC mobilisations and campaigns to project the sitting executive Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, as the best presidential material for Nigeria come 2023. However, the governor is yet to publicly declare his presidential ambition. But in a recent interview on Channels Television he confirmed that many Nigerians have been urging him to run for president.
