Nigerian music legend 2Baba is set to celebrate his 51st birthday with a packed weekend of new music, entertainment and a special food brand launch in Lagos.
The singer will mark the milestone with the release of his new single, Mental, featuring fast-rising vocalist Fave, on Friday, September 18.
According to his manager and partner, Mallam Yankee, the song will drop on 2Baba’s birthday, giving fans a fresh addition to the singer’s celebrated catalogue as he continues to evolve musically and connect with younger audiences.
The birthday festivities will continue on Saturday, September 19, with a private birthday dinner, album listening session and the launch of 2Baba Jollof in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Scheduled for 7pm to midnight, the event will bring together close friends, family, fellow artistes, celebrities and key figures in the entertainment industry to celebrate the singer’s decades-long musical journey.
A major highlight of the evening will be the album listening party, where invited guests will get an early taste of 2Baba’s forthcoming project.
