President Bola Tinubu has forwarded a fresh batch of ambassadorial nominees to the Senate, bringing the total list to 65.
In the new submission, Tinubu nominated Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, former Sole Administrator of Rivers State and immediate past Chief of Naval Staff, as a non-career ambassador.
Also on the list are former Senator Ita Enang; Chioma Ohakim, ex–First Lady of Imo State; and Abdulrahman Dambazau, former Minister of Interior and one-time Chief of Army Staff.
The President had earlier sent 32 names, but the latest addition of 35 nominees brings the full composition to 34 career ambassadors and 31 non-career ambassadors awaiting Senate screening and confirmation.
