The Principal, Alhaji Habeeb Badru, brimming with excitement, announced the remarkable achievement during the Class of 2025 Valedictory and Award Day Ceremony held within the school premises on Randle Avenue, Surulere.

He attributed the outstanding results to years of rigorous learning, discipline, and above all, the passion and dedication of the academic staff.

Mr. Badru noted that completing secondary school in flying colours was a giant step in the students’ lives, adding that there are high expectations from parents and society. He urged them to remain positive in every situation, stressing that this milestone will propel them to the next stage of higher studies in disciplines such as Medicine, Accounting, Law, and Engineering, both in Nigeria and abroad.

He further advised them to be guided by the “4 Ds” — desire, decision, determination, and discipline — to achieve great things in life.

Highlighting the school’s collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems for student nutrition and learning, he urged parents to invest more time and resources in their children, encouraging them to engage in conversations to understand and address their challenges.

The Guest Lecturer, Prof. Khalid Adekoya of the Department of Genetics, University of Lagos, encouraged the students to sustain their momentum and serve as role models for those coming after them. He emphasized that education remains the best legacy one can bequeath, calling for collaboration between government and the private sector to reposition the sector.

In his valedictory sermon, Mr. Sulaymon Ibitoye, one of the school’s teachers, commended the 92 graduates for finishing with honours, recalling the journey they began over six years ago. He advised them to brace for the challenges ahead in post-secondary education, prioritize their studies, and avoid low academic performance, warning that a cumulative grade point (CGP) of less than one could result in withdrawal from the institution.
