The newly elected Leader of the Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA Legislative Council, Hon. Oladimeji Kehinde Hassan, has pledged his full support to the executive arm of the council in implementing people-oriented policies and programmes.

He gave this assurance shortly after his emergence as Leader of the Legislative House, following a unanimous vote by his fellow councillors at the remodelled Council Secretariat in Obalende.

Hon. Hassan, who represents Ward A and was elected during the July 12th Local Government Elections in Lagos State, was chosen to lead the 6th Legislative Arm of the council.

Speaking after his election, he stated that the legislative arm under his leadership will prioritise the passage of progressive bye-laws that will accelerate the socio-economic development of the council area.

Also elected were Hon. Kunle Oyekan from Ward B as Deputy Leader, Hon. Ekundayo Opeyemi as Majority Leader, and Hon. Tijani Rotimi Owolabi as Chief Whip. The only female member, Hon. Fatima Yusuf, serves as a floor member.

Earlier on Monday, the Chairman of the council, Mr. Bola Oladunjoye, inaugurated the 6th Legislative House and charged its members to remain united and work collaboratively in the best interest of the residents.
