Barcelona beat Benfica 1-0 despite Cubarsi’s red card

Barcelona ground out a 1-0 win at Benfica in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.

Raphinha’s left-footed strike from outside the box on 61 minutes gave the 10-man Catalans a slender advantage going into next week’s return fixture, after teenage centre-half Pau Cubarsi was sent off in the first period for a last-man challenge.
