Former Kano State Governor and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has pledged to drastically reduce the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) votes in Kano State during the 2027 elections.
Speaking at a meeting with former councillors, senior advisers, and stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area on Wednesday, Kwankwaso declared, “We will work tirelessly to ensure APC’s votes in Kano drop to less than 15,000 in 2027.”
Reflecting on his party’s performance in the 2023 elections, Kwankwaso noted that the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) pushed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to secure just 15,000 votes in the state, despite being a relatively new political platform with a late campaign start.
He called for increased grassroots mobilisation and unwavering dedication from supporters to cement the NNPP’s position as a dominant force in Kano and beyond. “It’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence,” Kwankwaso said, urging his team to remain focused on delivering results for future elections.
