The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to present Certificates of Return to Ondo State Governor-elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, on Wednesday, November 20.
The ceremony will take place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja at 11 a.m., according to an invitation shared by Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, on Monday.
Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the gubernatorial election, securing 366,781 votes to defeat his closest contender, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes.
The APC swept all 18 local government areas in the state.
The Labour Party (LP) and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) managed 1,162 and 2,692 votes, respectively.
