The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious after securing wins across all 18 local government areas of the state.
The final result, announced on Sunday at the State Collation Centre in Akure, confirmed his triumph in Ese Odo Local Government Area, following earlier victories in the other 17 LGAs.
The State Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, declared that Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) garnered a total of 366,781 votes, defeating Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes.
Prof. Akinwumi said, “Ayedatiwa Lucky Orimisan of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and returned elected.”
