The Department of State Service (DSS) has removed Adegboyega Fasasi as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, replacing him with Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a Deputy Director, according to The Nation.
While the reasons behind Fasasi’s removal remain unclear, sources suggest it is part of a strategic shake-up following the appointment of the new DSS Director-General, Tosin Ajayi.
It is believed Ajayi requested the president’s approval to release Fasasi for a strategic training course, further signaling the internal reorganization.
The Presidency has yet to comment on the matter.
