Obasa’s representative, Hon. Aruna I. Ogunsola, alongside other distinguished guest speakers, illuminated the attendees on the perils of substance abuse and cultism, echoing the stringent stance of the law enacted by the Lagos State House of Assembly under Rt. Hon. Obasa’s leadership. This legislation deems cultism and substance abuse as criminal offenses, subject to punishment upon conviction.

Among the notable figures present were the Secretary to the State Government, the Commissioner of Police, the State Commandant of NDLEA, the State Commandant of NSDC, the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary for Education District 1, and the General Overseer of Fire & Miracles Ministry, all of whom were represented.

The culmination of the event saw Hon. Obasa being honored with the prestigious “THE EYE MAN OF THE YEAR – LEGISLATURE” award by the organizers, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to legislative advocacy and youth empowerment.
