Chance of victory for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu got a boost Tuesday when a security expert from two renowned political clans, Otunbalaje Adejare Adegbenro threw his weight behind his aspiration.

The Ogun State High Chief, Otunbalaje Adejare Adegbenro, as the name implies is the paternal grandson of the late Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Dauda Soroye Adegbenro while on the maternal side, is the grandson of the late democratic Icon and financier of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), Pa Alfred Rewane. Recall the coalition became the thorn in the flesh of the military, the reasone the jackboot fled the country’s political scene with their tails tucked between their legs.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja Tuesday, the Ogun State born international businessman, who inherited activism from his grandfathers and later his father, Chief Adeniyi Adegbenro explained reasons he has joined forces to endorce Asiwaju Tinubu for president next year, asserting that, “joke apart, the presidential cap fits Tinubu and we should team up democratically tolelt him wear it for the general good of the generality of the people of Nigeria.”

According to him,  Asiwaju Tinubu has also properly cut his teeth politically on the field of democratic struggle under his grandfather and so has attained a leverage whereby he can handle the affairs of the country very well as president, pointing out that, “with his sojourn in the trenches with my grandfather, which eventually led to the current democracy we are enjoying now, Tinubu stands the most qualified among all other contenders for the 2023 presidential race.”

Adejare Adegbenro said, “sentiment apart, my support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was borne out of the undisputable fact that, all indices available point out to the fact that the presidential cap fits him because of his political pedigree, and democratic antecedence,” revealing that, “Nigeria has come thus far and so it is high time we voted the tested and trusted leader, the one with track record and unparalleled achievements in 2023.”

When asked to be specific, the well-travelled  and internationally exposed vocal analyst cum political observer put it this way: “Vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC for President. Nigerians should vote for Jagaban the man with mission for Nigeria, the man the cap fits and the man who is well prepared the job. The man who has answers to the Nigeria’s problems.”

It was against this background that, the Junior Adegbenro expressed the need for all well-meaning Nigerians to to join hands together to vote the man the cap fits as president so as to allow him wear it, believing that, “Tinubu is the most competent candidate out of the lot with the Midas touch to move Nigeria forward towards the promise land and the Eldorado,” calling on the entire good people of the country to rally round him next February to win convincingly for the benefit of all.

Talking about antecedence, Adegbenro believed that, “two terms as governor of Lagos State can never be said to be a joke or child’s play because Lagos State is more or less a mini Nigeria that is far bigger than some countries on the map of the world,” admonishing hat, “Nigerians should not allow the 2023 Tinubu Project fail so posterity would not blame our generation for such an unpardonable slip.”
