The Accord Party presidential candidate, Prof. Chris Imumolen, has promised to fix Nigeria’s education sector in six months if elected as president during next year’s election.

He added that his administration would allot about 20% of the budget to the education sector to ensure that things work and end recurrent industrial action by critical stakeholders in the sector.

The AP candidate made the pledge during a massive interactive session organized by the Professor Chris Imumolen Movement by his friends across Lagos State, according to a statement by his campaign organisation on Thursday.

According to Imumolen, the human capital of any nation remains the most vital.

Imumolen assured that the infrastructure in the sector will receive necessary attention through an overhauling strategy that will eliminate age-long bureaucracy and corruption.

“As president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will ensure that lecturers will be paid as and when due; that the academic environment will be conducive for all students, and they will have cross-cultural alignments with foreign students as whites and learners from various climes will find the Nigerian education sector so appealing,”, Imumolen promised.

At the session, he also announced several empowerment schemes for farmers and other practitioners including the “I Will Prosper”.

The scheme, he claimed, would accommodate Nigerians who will reap freely from a network that raises millionaires through financial and business opportunities.
