A factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, Mr. Fouad Oki, has alleged that Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, and the lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Bayo Oshinowo, are plotting against the second term ambition of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.

Oki, who was guest on a radio programme, Morning Digest on Lagos Talks, hosted by veteran journalist, Jimi Disu, and monitored on Friday, said the duo had approached him to discuss the plot.

He therefore challenged them to come out publicly to state their own sides of the story or deny that such discussion ever took place.

Oki said, “I think they (Aregbesola and Oshinowo) should be manly enough to come out to say what the governor has done that they are not happy with. It’s not by keeping the man in the dark and not telling him exactly what it is and then shouting hosanna in the day and crucifying him at night. They should be manly enough to come out.”

He also blamed the duo for the crisis in the party in the state, saying they were hell-bent on ensuring that they rope people into their plan to have their way and take control of the party.

He noted that it was unfair to bring former governor Bola Tinubu into the matter.

Oki said he had a cordial relationship with the governor.

He, however, pointed out that his grouse was the alleged illegality perpetrated during the APC congress in the state.

He also warned that if the matter was not settled amicably, APC may not field a candidate in the 2019 governorship election in the state.

Aregbesola, when contacted, described  Oki’s claims as a totally ridiculous one, while debunking the allegation of plotting to scuttle  Ambode’s second term plan.
