The Ndigbo community in Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) yesterday pledged to work with the new Executive Chairman of the council area, Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku (DOS).
Speaking on behalf of the Ndigbo during the courtesy visit to Odunmbaku’s office, Hon. Emeka Benson, said the community is dedicated to working with the council boss.
“We are ready to work with you, we are dedicated to be with you. I believe Igbos are the Jews, anywhere you put an Igbo man, they make a difference, we are the Jews because we are everywhere you go,” Emeka said.
He added that: “We have always been on ground, though we have not enjoyed the dividend of democracy here in Ojodu but we still remain loyal to the government and follow up in every sector,” he concluded.
On his remark, Odunmbaku appreciated the Ndigbo for the visit. “I thank you all for coming. We remain one and we’ll continue to work together. This administration will continue to provide security for lives and property of Ojodu residents,” he said.
