Mr David Olusegun Odunmbaku well known for his contributions to the rehabilitation of roads, education, health, youth and women empowerment in Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has bagged the Rootswatch Magazine’s Award, 2022 under the category of One of the Best Performing Local Government Chairmen.
The award was conferred on him at the Rootswatch National Award 2022 which was held at the National Merit House, Abuja on Thursday.
The award was designed to showcase the impactful achievements and reward excellence in grassroots governance.
Speaking at the ceremony, Odunmbaku applauded the Rootswatch Magazine for recognising his administration’s effort in transforming Ojodu with people-oriented programs. He described the award as a challenge to do more.
Within one year in office, Odunmbaku surprised those underrating his leadership style, he rehabilitated Mokuolu Street, Ajayi Road, Oyatogun Street, Ayo Alabi Road, Sonola Street, Mokuolu Street and Muyibi Street.
Other projects include completion of council legislative building, overhaul rehabilitation of Apata Primary Healthcare Centre, and massive renovations ongoing at area offices, Vocational and ICT centres.
