Renowned activist and public commentator, Comrade Razaq Olokoba has commended Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu over the amicable settlement of the minor impasse between the State Government and health workers in the state.
Olokoba, who is the National Convener of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), gave the commendation in a chat with our reporter in Lagos Monday where he described the governor as a responsible and responsive administrator whose love for the people has never shaken.
According to him, the outcome of the jaw-jaw between the two divides has shown that Sano-Olu is a listening governor, who puts the welfare of the people before any other consideration saying, “to say the least, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is a Union friendly man.”
Speaking further, the vocal political analyst therefore enjoin all the professional unions, strategic associations and their affiliates to also reciprocate the friendly gesture of the governor by always toe the line of dialogue to address issues, saying, that is the best way to go in democracy to guarantee its much desired dividends.
The concerned activist, who also doubles as the leader of Coalition of Civil Society Groups therefore urged the governor to put the issue behind him and move ahead in the onerous task of moving the state forward, admonishing that the issue should not be allowed to diminish the gains already achieved in the war against CVID-19.
As usual, Olokoba seized the opportunity of the interaction to urge the people to double their support for the governor so as to encourage him to surpass his first year in office achievements that earned him accolade across the globe especially his outstanding performance in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.
The highly impressed political observer recalled that Sanwo-Olu’s performance in the war of the dreaded COVID-19 was so impressive that two International bodies-World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN), could not help but commended the governor for a job well done.
“And it is gratifying to note that, while Sanwo-Olu is fighting the monster called COVID-19, he has not lost focus on all the aspects of governance across all the sectors of the economy. This has shown that he is a man with the Midas touch.
“Against this backdrop, we can announce for the umpteen time that, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has always passed our Integrity Test. And we members of the CDG, a coalition of over 70 other civil society organizations, have passed a vote of confidence in him once more and solicit maximum support of the people for him to encourage him to do more for us,” Olokoba submitted.
