bitMART, a new e-commerce platform designed to reflect the unique realities of the African market, has officially entered Nigeria’s online retail space, promising fast, dependable, and customer-friendly service delivery.
The platform was formally unveiled at a World Press Conference held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos State, bringing together industry stakeholders, the media, and business leaders.

At the unveiling, the Chief Executive Officer of SpringRock Group and founder of bitMART, Mr. Eke Eke, described the platform as a consumer-first solution built with key features such as product protection, secure payment systems, and full transactional transparency.
He emphasized that bitMART operates a clear replacement policy for damaged goods, assuring users of consistent value and trust in every purchase.
Speaking on the vision behind the platform, the Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer of bitMART, Mrs. Tolu Ogungbade, explained that the initiative was created to tackle persistent challenges in urban e-commerce, including delayed deliveries, high operational costs, and limited opportunities for local businesses.
She noted that bitMART’s same-city logistics model significantly cuts delivery expenses, enabling the platform to keep prices affordable for customers.
Ogungbade further assured Nigerians that bitMART is the outcome of extensive research and careful planning, with a strong commitment to responsive and reliable customer service.
A major highlight of the platform is its same-city, same-day delivery service, introduced to rebuild confidence in online shopping by ensuring speed and reliability.
bitMART also prioritizes the promotion of Made-in-Nigeria products, giving consumers access to a broad range of locally manufactured goods without the restrictive policies common on other platforms.
According to the company, this strategy will not only lower costs for buyers but also empower local manufacturers and merchants.
To encourage early adoption, bitMART has introduced attractive promotional offers. The first 5,000 users to sign up will receive a ₦1,000 gift card, while users who refer others who complete purchases will earn ₦1,000 per successful referral, with no earning limit.
Additional rewards have also been set aside for first-time buyers, creating multiple benefits for active users.
The platform is further backed by a comprehensive quality assurance system to guarantee product accuracy and integrity. Products that fall short of advertised standards will be removed, while items damaged during delivery will be replaced at no extra cost.
The company also pledged to identify and resolve the underlying causes of such issues to sustain high service standards.
Also in attendance at the launch was Mrs. Amaka Onaibre, Legal Adviser to bitMART, who, alongside Mrs. Ogungbade, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to transparency, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation for users and partners.
