…Commends Former Council Boss, Egunjobi, for Mentorship and Exemplary Leadership
In a heartfelt tribute celebrating leadership, mentorship, and divine guidance, the immediate past Special Adviser on Environment, Information, and Civic Engagement to the former Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government, Olayiwola Rasheed Emmanuel, has showered praises on the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, describing him as a God-sent pathfinder who redefined his political destiny.
Olayiwola, in a statement made available to The Blog Online, recounted how his political journey within the Agege structure was profoundly shaped by the trust, guidance, and mentorship of the Lagos Assembly Speaker.
He said Obasa’s belief in his potential became the turning point that transformed his career and deepened his understanding of selfless public service.
“Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa is indeed a destiny helper whom God sent my way. His encouragement and mentorship redefined my political path and strengthened my commitment to public service. He is a visionary who invests in people and believes in building others,” Olayiwola stated.
He further extolled the Speaker’s humility, foresight, and passion for human capital development, noting that Obasa’s leadership transcends politics by inspiring younger generations to embrace integrity and purpose in governance.
According to him, the Lagos Assembly under Obasa’s leadership has witnessed stability, innovation, and people-focused reforms that have reinforced public trust and enhanced legislative inclusiveness.
Olayiwola also used the opportunity to appreciate his immediate past council boss, High Chief (Alh.) Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi (JP), for his unwavering mentorship, discipline, and administrative excellence. He said working under Egunjobi offered him firsthand experience in grassroots governance and service delivery.
“High Chief Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi remains a mentor of rare discipline and vision. His administrative precision and devotion to purposeful leadership shaped my outlook on governance and strengthened my capacity for effective public service,” he said.
Describing both Obasa and Egunjobi as destiny shapers, Olayiwola noted that their complementary leadership styles—Obasa’s visionary mentorship and Egunjobi’s disciplined administration—have jointly molded his political ideology and guided his pursuit of impactful service.
He prayed for the continued success of the two leaders, reaffirming his loyalty and commitment to the values of humility, integrity, and people-centered governance which they both represent.
