The Big Brother Naija Season Nine reunion kicked off with heated drama as former housemates and ex-lovers, Zion and Chinwe, clashed over who ended their relationship after the show.
Zion claimed he was the one who initiated the breakup, citing differences in their life goals. “I basically ended things,” he said. “I felt like we were moving in different directions in life.”
But Chinwe fired back, calling his statement a lie. According to her, Zion’s nonchalant attitude and disregard for her feelings were the real reasons for their split. She recounted how he went out clubbing the night before her departure, despite her plea to spend time together. “You said you couldn’t get a ride to see me, but then you drove to a friend’s place. Make it make sense,” she said.
The exchange grew even more intense when Chinwe challenged Zion’s version of events. “What Zion will not do is sit here and lie on me now,” she said. “You could have owned the narrative, my love. What do you mean you broke up with me?”
Adding another layer to the conflict, Chinwe revealed that Zion’s family and friends have harbored resentment towards her ever since she disclosed during the show that she sponsored his participation.
