December has been a remarkable month for Hon. Segun Olulade, fondly known as “Eleniyan,” as he received double honors for his exceptional contributions to humanity and nation-building.
The Executive Director of Customer Centricity & Marketing at Galaxy Backbone Limited was celebrated with two prestigious awards that recognize his dedication to voluntarism, philanthropy, and youth development.
In early December, Hon. Olulade was honored with the Man O’ War Champion of Voluntarism Award, alongside other distinguished Nigerians whose contributions have earned national recognition.
Reflecting on the award, he wrote on his social media page: “I recently received the Man O’ War Champion of Voluntarism Award, alongside other distinguished Nigerians whose contributions are acknowledged and worthy of national recognition.”
The award ceremony, led by the National Commander of Man O’ War, Gbenga Adedamola, acknowledged Hon. Olulade’s efforts in nation-building and youth empowerment.
The Commander, a former state chairman and national secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), commended Hon. Olulade’s unwavering commitment to these causes.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Olulade highlighted the vital role of Man O’ War in society and urged all well-meaning Nigerians to support the organization’s efforts.
Barely a week later, Hon. Olulade was again celebrated, this time with the Philanthropist Man of the Year 2024 award at the Epe Division Community Annual Awards.
The event, organized by the Community Network Initiative (CNI) and led by Mr. Tele Olukoya, recognized his selfless contributions to humanitarian causes.
Expressing gratitude, Hon. Olulade quoted Peter Maurer, saying, “Humanitarian action cannot be held hostage to political ends.” He also reaffirmed his personal philosophy: “Giving is my culture.”
Acknowledging the honor, he stated, “I use this opportunity to appreciate Almighty God whom I serve and everyone that contributed to who I am today—the organizers of the yearly awards, those who voted for me, and my co-award winners. I pledge my unrepentant philanthropic gestures to humanity.”
These double recognitions underscore Hon. Olulade’s steadfast dedication to service, generosity, and community development. Known for his impactful leadership and commitment to improving lives, he continues to inspire others with his actions and values.
