Osun State indigenes living in Ondo State have pledged their support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, in the upcoming November 16 governorship election.
The show of support came as political campaigns intensified in the final days before the vote.
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke joined the PDP campaign trail in Ondo State, where he was warmly welcomed by Osun natives in Akure, the state capital.
Addressing the crowd, Adeleke urged his fellow Osun indigenes to rally behind Ajayi, encouraging them to vote for the PDP and ensure their votes are counted.
“All the things left undone in 12 years, we’ve accomplished in just two years in Osun,” Adeleke said. “The time has come. Go tell everyone that we stand with your ‘governor’ (Ajayi). We’ve brought light to Ondo, and with faith in God, anything is possible. Agboola Ajayi has the experience and grassroots support needed to bring change here.”
He continued, “I’m here to support my brother, Agboola Ajayi. Everything is working in Osun, and we want to bring that success to Ondo. PDP is the true progressive party, so go out, vote, and safeguard your votes.”
Ajayi expressed his gratitude to the Osun community for their support and pledged to deliver meaningful development and governance for all residents in Ondo State if elected.
Mr. Kehinde Ayinla, Chairman of Osun State indigenes in Ondo, voiced confidence in Ajayi’s understanding of the people’s needs, assuring him of widespread support from Osun natives across all 18 local government areas in Ondo.
