President Bola Tinubu is set to swear in seven newly appointed ministers on Monday, November 4, 2024.
This was confirmed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, in a statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.
The newly appointed ministers include:
•Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction
•Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment
•Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State, Foreign Affairs
•Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment
•Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development
•Yusuf Ata as Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development
•Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State, Education
Onanuga added that the Senate approved these appointments on October 31, following a major cabinet reshuffle by President Tinubu on October 23.
This reshuffle included the reassignment of 10 ministers, the discharge of five, and the nomination of these seven new members for Senate confirmation.
