The National Missioner of Ikhwanul Muslim Foundation, Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Awwal, stressed the need for the country to halt wasteful spending to achieve success. He also emphasized the importance of patience during the current economic crisis, stating that all life’s challenges come with valuable lessons.

Sheikh Abdulhakeem Awwal made these remarks at the 9th Ramadan Lecture organized by the Prince Tajudeen Olusi Foundation, held at the APC Central Senatorial District Secretariat, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

He noted that Allah tests everyone but only those who remain steadfast will overcome challenges.

Titled “Endurance and Perseverance as Virtues in Islam,” the Ramadan Lecture highlighted the importance of relying entirely on Allah, particularly during difficult times. The cleric attributed the high level of insecurity in the country to a lack of values and care for the children of the poor.

In attendance, Senator Sanni Eshinlokun, the Special Guest, commended the choice of topic for the Ramadan Lecture, considering it relevant and timely. He emphasized that destinies are determined by Allah, urging people not to quarrel over what has not been granted to them by the Almighty.

Senator Eshinlokun also described Prince Tajudeen Olusi as a very kind and generous person who has continued to positively impact the lives of many.

The Chairman of the Foundation, Honorable Abayomi Daramola, stated that it was established to provide support and relief to humanity in various ways.

He emphasized that the lesson from the Ramadan lecture was the importance of patience for Muslims.

Abayomi reassured that other programs under the foundation, including the 10th Anniversary, will be larger.

In his remarks, Prince Tajudeen Olusi said that he had been patient all his life, which is why Allah has been merciful and generous to him.

He renewed his commitment to supporting the cause of Allah and providing assistance to those in need.

Prince Olusi, who shared his life story, mentioned that he was asked to step down for another person after winning the slot, and he accepted the painful decision gracefully.

The Chairman of the occasion, Tunde Balogun, disclosed that many people have benefited from projects initiated by the Prince Olusi Foundation.

Two members of the Ramadan Lecture organizing committee, Rasheedat Abiodun-Abu, the Chairman of Iru-Victoria Island LCDA, and Kamal Bashua Salau, expressed optimism that the President will soon overcome the economic crisis.

They urged every Nigerian to find a suitable way to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the nation.
