Muslim faithful have been enjoined not to depart from the lessons learnt from the just concluded Ramadan fast.
Imam ZHIKIRULAHI BUSSERI of Rahmat Islammiyah Mosque in Coker Aguda area of Surulere gave this advice at the end of the mandatory Two rakat Eid prayer.
Our correspondent reports that the Eid prayer usually observed at the open ground is the climax of the month-long Ramadan fast.
Imam BUSSERI said the mercy of Allah will continue to prevail over those who adheres to the teachings of the Ramadan fast in their daily conduct after the period.
Also at the Eid prayer by Shadatu Abadiyah Society in Ebute Metta, the Assistant Missioner, Imam ABDULHAKEEM OLAPADE said the month of Ramadan is likened to the faithful going through a spiritual rebirth.
According to him, the Ramadan fast ensure atmosphere of peace, tolerance, piety and sharing of love among the people.
Imam ABDULHAKEEM OLAPADE also enjoined all Nigerians to play a positive role in the smooth transition of power across the States and at the Federal level in the country.
