The wife of the President-elect, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has reassured indigent youths, women and residents of Lagos Central Senatorial District, of regular opportunity for skill acquisition and empowerment when she assumes office from May 29 this year.
She also said that every young Nigerians deserves the right to aquire skills in order to become self dependent.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu stated this in a message to the closing of the 3 Day training program for 250 residents from Lagos Central District in conjuction with the National Productivity Centre.
Represented by Hon Wahab Alawiye-King, Oluremi Tinubu said she hope the opportunity will enable them become an entrepreneurs and employer of Labour.
On his part, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon Akeem Adeyemi said the empowerment will be implemented nationwide by Senator Tinubu as wife of the President.
“The training and skills acquisition programme from time to time implemented by Senator Oluremi Tinubu has brought smiles to the faces of the people and contribute positively to the Socio-economic development of Lagos State and the country at large” Hon Adeyemi said.
Also speaking, the Vice Chairman of APC in Lagos state, Hon Moshood Mayegun commended Oluremi for her generosity to the people of her Constituents.
According to him, over 6,000 people have benefitted from her interventions over the years in Lagos Central Senatorial District.
On her part, the Chairman of Iru/ VI LCDA, Rasheedat Abiodun- Adu urged the beneficiaries to take full advantage of the opportunity.
Alhaji Abdulganiyu Sadiq, the party Chairman in Lagos Island prays for the beneficiaries that as their business starts small, it will grow big.
Our correspondent reports that the participants were trained in areas including, Photography, Confectionery and Cosmetology with a take off capital from Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
