A Kwara State based pro-democracy organization, Ilorin Peace Movement (IPM), has commended the Kwara State Central Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the coming 2023 general election, Mallam Saliu Mustapha over his numerous philanthropist gestures in the state and beyond.
The Movement, in a statement from its Convener, Hajjia Bolanle Gambari, said Saliu Mustapha is one out of millions among those whose veins run the milk of human kindness saying, “if somebody who has not occupied a political office could be doing so much for humanity, one can now imagine the wonders he would perm as a political office holder.”
The Movement’s statement came in the wake of full scholarship award announced by Muslapha for the daughter of the deceased lecturer of the Kwara State lecturer, Idris Oladimeji Yahaya, a native of Adifa community in Ilorin who died in a ghastly motor accident which happened in the Oko-Olowo area along Ilorin-Jebba expressway, leaving his wife, father and three children as survivors.
The statement further recalled that, Saliu Mustapha, who holds the prestigious title of Turaki Ilorin has always been in the news for good things in the society, promising that, “members of our Movement will stop at nothing to mobilise votes for him next year to realise his senatorial ambition because of the benefit his victory will serve humanity.”
According to the release, Mallam Saliu Mustapha is no doubt an asset to the APC as well as to governor Abdur-Rahaman Abdur-Razaq in the coming election, noting that, the highest number of votes always come from the Cental which will translate to victory for the governor to continue his good job he has started in his first term in office.”
The Movement therefore urged the good people of Kwara Central Senatorial District to stand up for the Senatorial project of Mallam Saliu Mustapha irrespective of the political party they belong to, to ensure his victory, reasoning that, “our collective benefit lie in his success and so, we should own the project as our.”
Mallam Saliu Mustapha scaled through the party primary of his party (APC) to clinch the senatorial ticket to represent the Kwara Central in the Senate next year.
