Do you know that this call for Asiwaju to pick a Christian VP is a decoy by CAN (who are predominantly in the South West and have always been apologetic to PDP) to weaken his ticket for an imminent defeat, just because the aspirant they supported didn’t win APC primaries?
Are you also aware that all the 17 Governors in the southern part of Nigeria, except Oyetola, are Christians, with only two of them having Muslim deputies?
Common! Do you also know that even if Asiwaju should fall into the trap of the so called CAN, they still will not vote for him because they’ve started promoting a candidate from the South East ever since their aspirant lost?
I won’t expect Asiwaju to abandon the 14 northern states who are predominantly Muslims who supported him to clinch the party ticket in the just concluded primaries.
South Westerners who love our region as well as Tinubu will vote for him not minding who he chooses as VP.
How many of those shouting can accomodate a woman of different faith in their homes as a wife like Tinubu is doing?
As true Omoluabis, we have to choose between religion and winnig.
And to win, Asiwaju needs a very strong Muslim politician from the North just like MKO did in 1993, to win the 2023 election against Atiku.
Anything short of this is a booby trap which I don’t expect Asiwaju to fall into.
