Ahead of the ruling All Progressives Congress’ (APC’s) primaries, the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms by the party begins today nationwide.
The party’s National Working Committee (NWC) looks set to replace some of the directors on compulsory leave.
The sale of forms, which was earlier slated for last Saturday, was postponed to start today.
Organising secretaries from the 36 states are to collect forms for aspirants jostling for the House of Assembly seats, as the NWC has directed that nomination forms for the state legislature be sold at the state headquarters.
It was gathered that the sale of forms for the National Assembly, governorship and presidential tickets would be handled by the national secretariat at three designated places.
Confirming the development, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka told reporters at the party’s secretariat that the exercise would start on Tuesday (today).
He said: “We are set to commence sale tomorrow (Tuesday). The guideline for the exercise will soon be released on our platform. While the forms for the House of Assembly will be sold at the state level nationwide, others will be sold here at the national secretariat. “
