Vocal political commentator, social analyst and National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), Comrade Razaq Olokoba has cleared the air on the mode of his members’ dressing saying it has nothing to do with cultism or any diabolical group.
Olokoba made the clarification at a press conference in Lagos to announce the cancellation of the 7-day planned Walk for Peace in Lagos where he explained that the cancellation was in line with the state-wide cancellation of the exercise by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
The youthful activist, who led about 70 other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), to the conference, seized the opportunity of the occasion to debunk the insinuations making the round in some quarters that the uniform of the coalition during streets activities was for a special group of cultists, saying it is a lie from the pitch of hell.
Taking time to explain, the youth leader said, the uniform being referred to as cultist regalia is the combination of white and red colours for the jacket, bandana and wrist band, adding that, “while the white represents peace and harmony in the country, the red colour stands for the blood of the fallen heroes of democracy during the struggle for the restoration of civil rule in this country.”
