Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong on Thursday, presented a budgetary proposal of N106,807,267,642.12 to the state House of Assembly for 2022.
Gov Lalong while presenting the budget tagged, ‘A Budget of Economic Recovery and Consolidation of Inclusive Infrastructural Growth 2,’ to the House, said the appropriation bill was tailored towards the completion of ongoing projects and activation of new that would impact the lives of the people.
He said the 2022 budget estimate consisted of N76,263,701,644.62 as the recurrent expenditure,representing 71.4 per cent of the total budget, adding that N30,543,565,997.50 was earmarked as capital estimate representing 28.6 per cent.
The governor explained that the budget would be funded from different sources including Internally Generated Revenue, N24bn;Statutory Revenue Allocation, N55bn; Aids and Grants, N3bn; Capital Development Fund, N3bn; as well as Domestic Loans, N20bn.
