In less than thirty days of resuming as the Executive Chairman of Ifako Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is fit for the job.
On the day of his inauguration, Prince Usman launched an official website for Ifako Ijaiye local government, a feat that has never happened in the history of the local government. He also stated in his speech that he will give his all to ensure Ifako Ijaiye local government is taken to a greater heights.
It is also noteworthy to state here that Prince Usman Akanbi has also signed a deal with Microsoft with the intention to empower 2500 Ifako Ijaiye youths which span across 3 years. This, no doubt, is an unprecedented development for the teeming youths and the entire local government area.
The Chairman said he signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Technology for Social Change and Development Initiative (Tech4Dev), an implementing partner of Microsoft, to take the idle and jobless youths of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government off the streets.
He stated futher that as part of his HEEDS Agenda for a Greater Ifako-Ijaiye, this initiative is designed to bring good governance to the grassroot communities.
He also said his administration is demonstrating high commitment towards reducing the unemployment rates in the council area while creating jobs and meaningful engagements across board.
And recently, the local government led by Prince Usman Akanbi partnered with MEADE Company on sports development. This is with the sole aim of resuscitating sporting activities, promoting physical fitness and unity in the local government area, especially among the youths.
This will, in no small amount, bring unity and peace to the streets in Ifako Ijaiye local government as all youths will be engaged in one activity or the other.
These feats have been achieved in just 30 days and these have taken the local government to the limelight and as one to reckon with.
