Ex-Sole Administrator of Agege Local Government, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Hon. Gbenga Abiola has lost his father.
The youngest council boss lost his father on the 10th of January, 2021 after a brief illness.
The 74 year Olufemi Abiola was an educationist who gave his best in serving Lagos State at different capacities before his death.
The late Abiola at different times of his career was the Principal of St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Epe, Iganmu High School, Ericmoore Senior Secondary Schooland he retired as Director of Education under the Lagos State Ministry of Education.
Olufemi Abiola was a devoted christian, a philanthrophist and a disciplinarian who never gave in for mediocrity and indiscipline.
According to one of his sons, Gbenga Abiola, “we will surely miss our dad for his uprightness and the culture of standing for what is ethically good. He had always warned us to shun shortcut to success. All we have achieved today, it is through God and his mentorship. We will miss him, dearly.”
Mr. Olufemi Abiola is survived by three children and many grandchildren. The burial arrangement will be made known to the public soon.
