A non governmental organisation Foodclique Support Initiative have continued there Emergency Food distribution to communities affected with food insecurities amidst the Corona Virus despite Federal Government and State Government easing the Lockdown.
This is as a result of the effect on the Lockdown on Lagosians living with extreme poverty.
The CEO of the Organisation Bolajoko Fadipe said that with Government Easing the Lockdown and perhaps focusing on other part of the economy, its imperative for Charity organisations like Foodclique to continue supporting people who cant afford to feed due to the effect of the Pandemic to ensure that this Health Pandemic dont turn into Food crises on the long run.
He highlighted that the Emergency food boxes is targeted to The Homeless, Physically challenged, Destitutes and The working poor and with Foodclique partnership with PepsiCo, it’s mission is to provide One Million meal within Lagos, Ogun State and some other part of the Western state where Hunger is rampant.
He concluded that the collaboration with PepsiCo to provide one million mealand is aimed to compliment the effort of Government as the government alone cant feed the nation.
A beneficiary from the physically challenged people at the National stadium Expressed their gratitude for the support shown by Foodclique towards their people.
Presently over 120, 000 meals have been provided for people during the Pandemic.
