…Stars celebrate Nigeria’s evolving sound, culture at Lagos concert
Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal and Kizz Daniel set the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, alight on Saturday, October 3, as Johnnie Walker AfroExchange brought its celebration of African music, creativity and culture to the 10th edition of Supremacy Concert.

The star-studded concert offered a vibrant meeting point for different generations of Nigerian music, with the trio taking music lovers on a journey through sounds that have shaped the country’s contemporary music scene.
Tiwa Savage thrilled the audience with performances of her hit songs, including Koroba and Lova Lova, as she shared the stage with a troupe of female dancers.
Wande Coal, dressed in an eye-catching orange double-breasted suit, delivered a nostalgic set that took fans back to the early days of his career with Pere, before moving into Iskaba and other crowd favourites.

Kizz Daniel, meanwhile, brought his trademark energy and commanding stage presence to the concert, keeping the audience on their feet as he performed a selection of his contemporary Afropop hits.
Together, the performances captured the evolution of Nigerian music, celebrating songs that have endured across generations while spotlighting the sounds defining the present.
Beyond the performances, the Johnnie Walker AfroExchange experience added another layer to the night, with Johnnie Walker Black cocktails served to guests alongside unique cocktail creations inspired by African culture.
The AfroExchange photo wall and craft session, anchored by the brand’s bold gold Striding Man, also became a major attraction, giving guests an opportunity to engage with the creative side of the experience.
Speaking on the partnership, Johnnie Walker Customer Marketing Manager, Michele Mballa Mekongo, said the AfroExchange platform reflected the spirit of continuous evolution at the heart of African music.
“Keep Walking speaks to the people who continue to find a way forward. That spirit is evident in African music, where every generation draws from what came before and finds new ways to express itself. The sound continues to evolve, but the influence of those who shaped it remains,” she said.
She added: “Supremacy 10 gave us an opportunity to celebrate that journey through Johnnie Walker AfroExchange. The artists featured at the concert reflected the exchange at the heart of Nigerian music, where different voices, experiences and sounds continue to influence one another.”
The event also attracted a mix of entertainment personalities and public figures, including Hon. Princess Lara Oyekan Olumegbon, while comedy heavyweight AY was among the hosts who kept the night lively.
For Johnnie Walker AfroExchange, the Supremacy 10 celebration provided another opportunity to connect with audiences through the intersection of music, memory, creativity and culture, while celebrating the artists and influences that continue to shape Nigerian music.
