Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA celebrated 2025 Children’s Day with an inspiring panel session featuring Executive Chairman Hon. Razaq Olusola Ajala and his Vice, Hon. Seyi Jakande, the APC Chairmanship flag bearer for the upcoming local government elections.
Themed: Little Footsteps, Big Future, The event included an interactive forum at the council secretariat in Town Planning, Ilupeju, where the leaders answered questions from the anchor and students regarding education, governance, and career growth.
During the discussion, Hon Ajala cautioned against cultism, child labour, and bullying, urging students to “choose the path of hard work over shortcuts.”
Hon. Jakande, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment, encouraged students to view education as the foundation for leadership.
“Today, we celebrate not just your achievements but your potential,” he told the young audience. “The future belongs to those who prepare for it. Stay focused, dream big, and let integrity guide you.”
The Chairman also took the opportunity to urge the children to encourage their parents and teachers to actively participate in the upcoming local government elections. He emphasised that their involvement would lead to improved educational opportunities by electing leaders who prioritise the needs of the youth.
Additionally, he highlighted the importance of maintaining good governance in the community and called for support for Hon. Seyi Jakande, who is poised to succeed him in the July elections.
