Veteran lawmaker and six-term member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oluwole Oke, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ending decades-long ties with the opposition party.
Oke, who represents Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, made his exit official in a resignation letter dated April 16, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward 7 Chairman in Obokun Local Government Area.
Confirming the development in a brief phone call on Wednesday, Oke told PUNCH Online, “I have resigned from the PDP.”
While he did not disclose his next political destination, Oke called on his loyalists and supporters to exit the party and await further instructions—signaling that a major political move may be on the horizon.
The decision, he said, followed wide consultations with his political allies, friends, and family.
