Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have dismantled a notorious Ponzi scheme academy, Q University (a.k.a Q-Net), arresting 133 suspects in Abuja on Monday, March 24, 2025.
The raid, conducted at Compensation Layout, Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), followed actionable intelligence on the illicit operation of the academy, which had been luring unsuspecting young Nigerians into a fraudulent network marketing scheme.
The academy reportedly indoctrinated recruits through a program dubbed “Special Training for New Generation Billionaires,” misleading them into believing they would attain massive wealth.
Participants were required to fill out an “Independent Representative Application Form” and chant promotional slogans such as “I’m a Champion,” “I’m Unstoppable,” and “I’m Infinity.”
The operation was carried out in collaboration with officers of the 176 Guards Battalion, Nigerian Army.
Items recovered include mobile phones, computers, and other electronic gadgets.
The suspects will face prosecution upon the conclusion of investigations.
