The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has decided to keep the country’s interest rate unchanged at 27.5%.
CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso announced the decision during a press briefing on Thursday following the 299th MPC meeting in Abuja.
“The Committee unanimously agreed to maintain all parameters,” he stated.
This marks a pause after six consecutive rate hikes in 2024.
