The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has reiterated the party’s commitment to a fair and transparent process ahead of the forthcoming local government elections.

In a message to party members, Ojelabi expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and dedication to the party’s progress while outlining crucial updates to guide preparations for the elections.

According to him, continuous party registration for new members will commence soon. However, he clarified that the party has yet to issue official guidelines for the upcoming local government elections.

He assured members that the primary elections would be conducted in a free and fair manner, emphasizing that purchasing the party’s nomination form does not guarantee any political appointment. Additionally, he stated that there would be no refunds for purchased forms.

Ojelabi also stressed the importance of voter registration, urging members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). He warned that going forward, any member without a PVC would not be allowed to attend party meetings.

Furthermore, he called on party leaders across Local Government Areas (LGAs) to foster unity and establish reconciliation committees where necessary, urging them to notify the party leadership if any intervention is required.

The APC Lagos Chairman reaffirmed the party’s dedication to internal democracy and urged members to remain committed as preparations for the local government elections intensify.
