The President of the Muslim Community of Lagos State, Alhaji (Chief) Mohammed Oyinlomo Danmole, has described the death of Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello as the end of an era for the entire Muslim community in Nigeria.
The president, on behalf of all Muslims in Lagos State, commiserated with the family of the renowned Sheikh, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), and the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.
Alhaji Mohammed Oyinlomo Danmole disclosed this in a condolence message released in Lagos.
He stated that the Muslim Community of Lagos State shares in the pain of the loss of the revered scholar, Sheikh Bello, who was known as a fearless preacher who always spoke the truth to power.
Recalling several encounters with the late preacher, Alhaji Oyinlomo Danmole noted that there was never a dull moment in Sheikh Bello’s public lectures, which focused on unity among Muslims, love for one another, transparency in governance, and, above all, the fear of Allah.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive Sheikh Bello’s shortcomings and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.
