President Bola Tinubu has removed Dr. Chioma Ejikeme as the Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), just 13 months after her reappointment for a second four-year term.
In a statement issued on Monday by PTAD’s Corporate Communications Head, Olugbenga Ajayi, it was announced that Tolulope Odunaiya has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary and officially assumed office on November 18, 2024.
Ejikeme, who led PTAD from August 2019 to November 2024, had been reappointed by Tinubu in October 2023.
In her inaugural address, Odunaiya pledged to build on the foundation laid by her predecessors, emphasizing collaboration and a shared commitment to improving pensioners’ welfare.
She said, “It is with a deep sense of responsibility that I address you. My vision is to foster a directorate where every individual feels recognized, empowered, and motivated to contribute meaningfully.”
She called for unity among staff, urging them to focus on the shared goal of enhancing the lives of pensioners who have served the nation under challenging conditions.
