A tragic accident occurred earlier today along Union Road near Cement Bus Stop, Dopemu, resulting in the unfortunate death of a wheelbarrow pusher.
The accident was caused by a commercial LT bus with registration number EPE 474 YJ, which lost control due to excessive speeding and collided with a roadside construction crane.
Officers from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) swiftly arrived at the scene, coordinating emergency efforts and securing the area.
The impact of the crash led to the immediate death of the wheelbarrow pusher. His body was later handed over to security personnel from Afonja Police Station. The severely damaged LT bus was also transferred to the police for further investigation.
